Our oldest son Treyson will be turning 8 next week. I would have to say for now that he has been our trail child. We have expirenced alot with him. It started when he was 3 and started having seizure's. For the last 3 to 4 years we have jumped through all the different hoopes of finding out what was wrong with our little boy. He under went many test's, only to find out that no one could tell us why, but that he would out grow them "someday". We had to experiment with different doses of medicine to find the right strength to keep him from having seizure's. With some time and a few seizure's later we did get the right dosage for our little guy. His neurologist at Primary Children's had told us he needed to go 2 years seizure free before he could go off his medication. So off we go 2 year's later to Primary Children's for yet another e.e.g. test. Come to find out that his e.e.g. came back still showing seizure activity. This was a huge blow to us because not only was his medication expensive, but the side effects on Treyson were hard on all of us. It also effect's his performance at school. After another year, (so 3 years total now) his last e.e.g. that he had a year ago came back good!!! YAY!! So as of August 15th it will be a year since he went off his medication. We are very excited! We were told while going off the med's he could have more seizure's if so they would most likely happen in the first three to six months. We are seeing new developments everyday with Treyson. He is getting on track with were he should be for his age. We love you Treyson! Thanks for being the man of the house during the week while Dad is away at work!!
