Quinton

Sorry I am late in blogging. Here is Quinton Michael Savage. He was born September 21st, 2010 at 12:32 pm. He weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces, and was 21 inches long. Not only was a big baby, but was also coming into the world sunny side up. Which made for a fuuuuuun delivery! Glad it's over! Happy to be done with the whole pregnancy thing as well.

We are still learning to adjust to sleepless nights. The kids are good helpers, and Quinton loves them! Quinton and I went back to work when he was 4 weeks old, as he gets to come to work with me until he is 6 months. I'm not sure that I am a whole bunch of help at work now!

Can you believe it??

We are almost done!!!! YAY!! With this pregnancy of course!! On Tuesday I was 37 weeks. This pregnancy has seemed pretty fast, but a roller coaster ride I must say! Everything from losing my brother in law to having gall stones with the chance of surgery to have my gall bladder removed, but ended up being to far along. Moving my parents, having my nephew's, Trev starting school, Trev rolling a fork lift over on himself, my sister and all the heart ache she is causing. All this since the end of April!!
I will for sure be induced on the 21st if the big boy doesn't come sooner!(keep your finger's and toes crossed that he gets here before then!) :) Seriously though this has been my worst most uncomfortable pregnancy's. My last few Doctor's visits I have been measuring big. Now at 37 weeks I'm measuring at 40 weeks!! I feel HUGE!!! (and look it too!) Every where I go someone always says,"Gee you look like your going to have that baby any time!" HA! HA! Little do they know I truly have 3 more weeks till my due date! I'm swollen and miserable!! Please baby come see us soon, before you are born to a mom that has had a nervous break down. On August 18th I had an ultra sound to see just how big baby was measuring. The estimated weight was 5 lbs. 15 oz. HELLO? That's been 3 weeks ago!!! I did get the cutest 3D picture of his face, but I'm not smart enough to put it on here. I go Monday morning for another ultra sound to see how much bigger he has gotten. I will keep you posted! If you don't here from me just check the local paper for the article on me and the toddler I will be giving birth to!! Hopefully all goes well!!

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Crystal Meth.

I destroy homes – I tear families apart.

I take your children and that’s just a start.

I’m more valued than diamonds, more precious than gold.

The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.

If you need me, remember, I’m easily found.

I live all around you, in school and in town.

I live with the rich, I live with the poor.

I live just down the street and maybe next door.

I’m made in a lab, but not one like you think.

I can be made under the kitchen sink,

In your child’s closet, and even out in the woods.

If this scares you to death, then it certainly should.

I have many names. But there’s one you’ll know best.

I’m sure you’ve heard of me, my name is Crystal Meth.

My power is awesome, try me, you’ll see.

But if you do, you may never break free.

Just try me once and I might let you go.

But if you try me twice, then I’ll own your soul.

When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.

You’ll do what you have to do, just to get high.

The crimes you commit for my narcotic charms,

Will be worth the pleasures you feel in my arms.

You’ll lie to your mother; you’ll steal from your dad.

When you see their tears, you must feel sad.

Just forget your morals and how you were raised.

I’ll be your conscience, I’ll teach you my ways.

I take kids from their parents; I take parents from their kids.

I turn people from God, I separate friends.

I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride.

I’ll be with you always, right by your side.

You’ll give up everything, your family, your home.

Your money, your true friend, then you’ll be alone.

I’ll take and take till you have no more to give.

When I finish with you, you’ll be lucky to live.

If you try me, be warned, this is not a game.

If I’m given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.

I’ll ravage your body; I’ll control your mind.

I’ll own you completely; your soul will be mine.

The nightmares I’ll give you when you’re lying in bed,

And the voices you’ll hear from inside your head.

The sweats, the shakes, and the visions from me.

I want you to know these things are gifts from me.

But then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart

That you are now mine and we shall not part.

You’ll regret that you tried me (they always do).

But you came to me, not I to you.

You knew this would happen.

Many times you’ve been told.

But you challenged my power,

You chose to be bold.

You could have said no and then walked away.

If you could live that day over now, what would you say?

My power is awesome, as I told you before.

I can take your life and make it so dim and sore.

I’ll be your master and you’ll be my slave.

I’ll even go with you when you go to your grave.

Now that you’ve met me, what will you do?

Will you try me or not? It’s all up to you.

I can show you more misery than words can tell.

Come take my hand, let me lead you to H---.

I currently have a person in my life that has chosen this path. Everything that this poem states is everything I'm watching take place. Her kids have been living with me and my family for the last 7 weeks and judging by the willingness to get better they will continue to stay for several months if not forever. It is heart breaking to see what these little boys have gone through and continue to go through. They have recently lost their Dad and now in most ways have to deal with losing their Mom. No family should ever have to go through all this heartache! I'm so sorry to anyone that has had to or is going through this kind of pain. It truly rips family's apart!! It does not just affect the person who has chosen this path, but the whole darn family gets to walk the path,in some degree.
I guess I will never understand how a person gets on this road to misery! And to lose everything! And when I say "lose everything", I mean LOSE EVERYTHING!! It has been a hard thing to deal with. I tell myself that I have already lost her. That way the day I get the phone call I may be some what prepared. I miss the old days!!

BUNKO!!!

BUNKO HERE I COME!! I have not played in a long time. I'm not sure I even remember how. I am excited to go. Excited to be with the girls from the dentist that I use to work with. I miss them! I miss the friendships with these girls! I'm excited to have a few hours away from the kids. I'm not excited to be away from my bed though! LOL! I know sounds LAME, but the last few months that's all I want to do after work is crash just crawl in bed and crash! I'm always cold, so when I get home that's all I generally have strength to do is pull the covers back and climb on in!! It's OK call me "Mother Of The Year!" I've been called worse!! :) Anyways, wish me luck with my Bunko skills! (or lack there of!!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well here goes, headed into a new year! With the new year I can expect a ton of changes. Changes that I wish my kids and I did not have to face.
I can not grasp the issue some have with agency! All because we have free agency in our lives the lives of so many people have been affected due to just one persons decisions. Decisions that will change the rest of a lot of our life's forever. I'm not sure that I will ever learn to deal with a divorce that I don't want! Instead of the kids adjusting to the change, I feel like they are taking it harder with each passing day. I can only hope and pray that this is a new start, a start at some point to better our lives.
I am glad the holidays are behind us. It was pretty hard on the four of us. I am so grateful for the wonderful ward I am in. We have felt the out pouring love from our neighbors and ward family over this holiday season. Thank you so very much to all of you that went over and beyond to make the Christmas season bearable. Neighbor's that came to put up our lights, did the 12 days of Christmas, invited us over for Christmas dinner, offered to help provide a Christmas for my kids, come and shovel our drive way and side walks, and leaving us such generous gifts. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You have shown us more love and support than those that we thought were our family. We love and appreciate all of you!

"I believe in the family where there is a husband who regards his companion as his greatest asset and treats her accordingly; where there is a wife who looks upon her husband as her anchor and strength. The cultivation of such a home requires effort and energy, forgiveness and patience, Love and, endurance, and sacrifice; but it is worth all of these and more."
~~ Gordon B. Hinckley~~

Does this really happen? When both partners are putting forth this kind of effort? I remember a time when I had this. I long to find this someday. For not only myself, but for my sweet little children who need good example's in there life. A man that takes responsibility, takes his Priesthood seriously, that shows his family(mainly his sons)the roles of a father, an active Priesthood holder, and husband!!
Most of all I wish I could fix our family we had. I don't want to loose the relationship I had. I don't understand how people can just stop trying?! It breaks my heart. Unfortunately I have no say in this. You have chosen this for the kids and I. And I just have to pick up the pieces and focus on my sweet children who are my world. I could not imagine my life without them in it everyday. What a lonely life you must have now!

~My little DARLINGS~

What do I say when after family prayer Gaige says, "Mom don't worry, Dad will come home, we're his family."? And when Trey cries almost daily still and it's a month later cause he wants his Dad home saying, "I want my family reunited." or "I just want it to be like it use to be." Treyson is by far having the hardest time, and showing a lot of emotion. What do you say? I have tried to explain some things to them, but they don't really get it. They are old enough to know what's going on, but yet it just makes no sense to them.

To my little ones:
I am sorry you are hurting. If I could take this away and change things I would do it in a heart beat. Don't ever forget how much you are loved. There are so many people that love you and are worried about your well being. I love you more than I can express. Thank you for choosing me as your mom. You guys are so little, but yet always show concern for mom. I'm sorry that when you go with Dad you now worry about leaving me behind. Thanks for thinking of me right now, but I want you to focus on the time you have with your Dad and enjoy it! You guys are my most prized possession and I will do anything I can within my means to protect you from the evils of the world and make sure you are raised in a loving home with the gospel in your lives.
ALL MY LOVE,
MOM

That Your Burdens May Be Light

Elder L. Whitney Clayton
Of the Presidency of the Seventy

Life presses all kinds of burdens on each of us, some light but others relentless and heavy. People struggle every day under burdens that tax their souls. Many of us struggle under such burdens. They can be emotionally or physically ponderous. They can be worrisome, oppressive, and exhausting. And they can continue for years.
In a general sense, our burdens come from three sources. Some burdens are the natural product of the conditions of the world in which we live. Illness, physical disability, hurricanes, and earthquakes come from time to time through no fault of our own. We can prepare for these risks and sometimes we can predict them, but in the natural pattern of life we will all confront some of these challenges.
Other burdens are imposed on us by the misconduct of others. Abuse and addictions can make home anything but a heaven on earth for innocent family members. Sin, incorrect traditions, repression, and crime scatter burdened victims along the pathways of life. Even less-serious misdeeds such as gossip and unkindness can cause others genuine suffering.
Our own mistakes and shortcomings produce many of our problems and can place heavy burdens on our own shoulders. The most onerous burden we impose upon ourselves is the burden of sin. We have all known the remorse and pain which inevitably follow our failure to keep the commandments.
No matter the burdens we face in life as a consequence of natural conditions, the misconduct of others, or our own mistakes and shortcomings, we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, who sent us to earth as part of His eternal plan for our growth and progress. Our unique individual experiences can help us prepare to return to Him. The adversity and afflictions that are ours, however difficult to bear, last, from heaven’s perspective, for “but a small moment; and then, if [we] endure it well, God shall exalt [us] on high.”1 We must do everything we can to bear our burdens “well” for however long our “small moment” carrying them lasts.
Burdens provide opportunities to practice virtues that contribute to eventual perfection. They invite us to yield “to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and [put] off the natural man and [become] a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and [become] as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon [us], even as a child doth submit to his father.”2 Thus burdens become blessings, though often such blessings are well disguised and may require time, effort, and faith to accept and understand.

GOOD QUOTE'S

These are some good quote's to live by. Not that my life is an example of these, I wish it were, and pray that someday it may be. I found these from a talk given by President Thomas S. Monson.

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."

"Spend time with, cherish and express love to the people we hold dear."

"We should never assume, we should let them know."

Most people may use these in your lives already, but as I ponder the things going on in my life right now, I would strongly recommend to NEVER take for granted the blessings in your life. You never, never know when your life will come crashing down! Or when those blessing's become memories.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Blessing's

I am so thankful for my kids. They are truly a blessing in my life. I love that I can be just standing there and one of them will just come up out of no where to wrap their little arms around me, tell me that they love me and that I am the best mom ever!! Or some time's I am even told I look pretty. They just have such sweet little spirits.
I feel so blessed to have the job that I have. Just the comfort of knowing that the kids and I will always have insurance. And the people that I work with are so sweet and concerned for our well being. And very, very supportive.
My neighbors and ward family you have proven to be more of a family than those that I thought were part of our family. I could not ask for a better ward. Thanks for all the thoughtfulness, prayer's and genuine concern on our part.

LOST!!

I hate feeling this way!! I feel lost!! Lost in a body I no longer reconize. In just about a years time I have gained 35 pounds. Ya, I know! (Now try to pick your chin up off the ground after hearing that! :)) I have never, never weighed this much, not even nine months pregnant with any of my kids. I went to the doctor and he sent me for blood work, but it all came back fine. I have not changed anything in my lifestyle. I have always been one that never eats good, candy, pop, you know all that kind of junk. Well I don't eat a ton of candy, just on occasion. Yes, I do have a desk job, but that is nothing new. And it's not like I sit there all day munching! I don't go home and veg on the couch with a bag of potatoe chips. I stay busy at home. But WHY? WHY? WHY? Would I gain 35 pounds in almost a years time? I will be 30 on Saturday. Guess maybe my age? I just hate this! I hate that I will be 30 and I hate that I'm FAT!! I just feel lost, not sure of where to turn.

~LITTLE MISS INDEPENDENT~

Lainie this is cute to a certain degree, but you are "totally" driving me crazy!! This picture of Lainie is her idea of doing her own hair. She just grabbed some and had me put in this green pony tail. I tried to talk her out of this old side pony style, (not that I don't like it, I just wanted to add "my" touch to it!) And to use a different color other than green!!!! This same day she also had a cute Levi skirt on with........ SNOW BOOTS!!! YES, SNOW BOOTS!!! I guess I should not judge, cause I have no real sense of style.(Hmm, must run in the family!) And once she has her self all dolled up this way she is ready to go to town, but not before she puts her "lips" on. Which then makes her look like a clown. I just don't get where she gets this. She has to do EVERYTHING by herself, and she is only 3. She loves the word "TOTALLY"!!!! LOL!! Trev called me the other day while I was working asking me about a two piece swimsuit that Lainie had found and put on. Let's just say it is one from when she was about 6 months old! He said she looked like she had on a string bikini, and she "totally" wanted to wear it outside to play with the neighbors. Oh brother!! Are we "totally" in for it or what? Good thing she has two older brother's to protect and look out for her.

Oh Lainie I TOTALLY love your guts!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

On August 1st Trev and I had our 11 year anniversary. The song from Shawnia Twain, "You're still the one", reminds me of us:

They said, i bet they'll never make it
But just look at us holding on
Were still together still going strong

Ain't no thin better
We beat the odds together
I'm glad we didn't listen
Look at what we would be missin

I was only 18 (2 months from 19!!!) and Trev 19. I know people thought this about our marriage or I guess I should say the age that we were married at. The past 11 years have been no walk in the park, but for the most part it has been pretty good considering some of the different trials that have come up along the way. I am so grateful to Trev for being willing to work out of town to have the means to support his family. However, I am just as grateful that he has spent most of the summer home with the kids while I work due to him being layed off. But, no worries!!! He starts on Monday in Milford at the Copper Mine!! This is truly such a blessing in many ways for our family. This is sounding more and more like his DREAM job and it's close to HOME!!! YAY!! YAY!! Trev, I love you!! Thanks for making me the strong, independent person that I am today!! Thanks for all you do for us!!

Tons of BLOGGING to catch up on!!!

PIONEER DAY:
Seeing how I work for the government I got to work on the 24th of July. After work I ran home to gather the family and head out to the in laws. Out there we made pizza and home made ice cream. YUMMY!! Then Trev and I left the kids at Grandma and Grandpa's for a sleepover. Although I had to miss out on the fun field parade festivities, I did have a fun evening with my in laws.
After picking the kids up the next morning, we decided on the spur of the moment to gather my family and go up the mountain to the cabin. It was such a fun day. I love being up the mountain!! I want my kids to have some of the same experience's I enjoyed as I kid, like being at the cabin running through the meadow. Since my dad helped his grandpa with some of the building of our family cabin it holds a special place in our hearts, as it was a special place in my dad's family.

Also on that Saturday it was my grandpa's birthday. He would have been 88. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA! It has been 9 years since you passed away and I miss you and everything about you. I often feel your sweet spirit by my side. I wish I could hug you and hear the way you could whistle when you talked, when you would do Jack and the beanstock, and all the whitty things you would say. I love you Grandpa!! Till we meet again!!

I am such a DORK!!

I erased most of my post's!!! I did not realize that they would erase from my page. I was just cleaning some things up(part of my OCD!),but now they are all gone. AH! What was I thinking?????

Food for thought?

I got this from a lady at work. I found it kind of interesting. Makes you stop and think,it's good for a laugh.

If You Are Unhappy

Once upon a time, there was a nonconforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter. However, soon the weather turned so cold that he recluctantly started fo fly south. In a short time ice began to form on his wings and he fell earth in a barnyard almost frozen. A cow passed by and crapped on the little sparrow. The sparrow thought it was the end. But, the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy, able to breathe, he started to sing. Just then a large catcame by and hearing the chirping, investigated the sounds.
The cat cleared away the manue, found the chirping bird and promptly ate him!

THE MORAL OF THE STORY
1. Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy.
2. Everyone who gets you out of the shit is not necessarily your friend.
3. And, if you're warm and happy in a pile of shit, keep your mouth shut.

Weekend FUN

Since Lainie's Birthday was on Friday we had a fun filled evening. The boys stayed out at Grandma Savage's and came back Jazz fans. They knew ahead of time that if they stayed out there they had to watch the game with grandma. I guess Gaige and grandma stayed up late watching and cheering the Jazz on. Gaige even had plans to watch their next game, but missed it cause we thought it was on Sunday evening, but ended up being on in the morning. Sorry Gaige! He was upset to hear that he would be at wrestling Tuesday night when they play next. So he is holding out for Wednesday night's game. He is so funny, wanting to know when they play, who they play and if they will be in white jersey's... he even tells me he saw one of the Jazz players while he was out riding his bike. Guess he lives in the neighborhood!LOL!! Oh to be a little kid again.
With the boys gone Lainie and I went to I HOP with my parents and Fry for dinner. It was the funniest thing when they came out singing to Lainie. Sure do wish I had a picture of her during that. For the rest of the night she was singing "Happy Birthday to Lainie Savage." I will have to post a picture of her and all her birthday loot! She got presents from both her babysitters and the family across the street even brought something over. Not to mention the gifts she got from everyone else. She is a spoiled little girl!! Guess that's what happens when your the princess!!! Love you baby girl!!
